Pear Soup for lung and cough

Health Benefits: According to Chinese medicine, pears are known for their ability to nourish the lungs and alleviate coughs. They are considered cooling in nature, making them suitable for soothing respiratory discomfort.

Dosage: 1-3 pears per day during acute cough.

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe pears 
- 4 cups water
- 1 small piece of Chinese rock candy (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

1. Wash and peel the pears. Cut them into bite-sized pieces, removing the seeds and core.

2. Boil Water. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

3. Add Pears: Once the water is boiling, add the pear pieces to the pot.

4. Simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the pears simmer for about 20-25 minutes until they become soft and tender.

5. Add Rock Candy. Once the pears are soft, add the Chinese rock candy to the pot. Stir well until it dissolves. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference.

7. Serve. Ladle the soup into bowls (with pears) and enjoy it warm.
