Ingredients in the Almond Butter: Let’s get to know our product a little bit more!

The Ingredients

  • Sprouted Nuts: what is sprouted?

  • Sprouting of a seed typically initiates germination, which is the start of when the seed turns into a plant. Typically this also increases the nutrients in the sprouted seed by enhancing the quantities of these vitamins. Sprouting also helps activate the enzymes that aid with digestion, allowing for an increase in absorption of nutrients.

How are they sprouted? The nuts and seeds are first rinsed and soaked for 24 hours. The rinseing helps remove the phytic acid, which usually inhibits the body to bind to the nutrients, then slow dehydration allows for safe and healthy consumption. Especially in the form of almond butter!

  • Stone-ground: Large granite stones slowly massage the nuts and seeds at low temperature. Using this method, we can release the natural oils and distribute them uniformly, producing a creamy and delicious product.
  •

  • Almond Butter: Almonds are a top source of the cancer-fighting antioxidant Vitamin E, and they are also a good source of manganese, folate, copper, B2, phosphorus, biotin, magnesium, and molybdenum. Almonds’ high monounsaturated fat content not only helps absorb all these nutrients, it lowers cholesterol, reduces risk of heart disease, and regulates blood sugar spikes. Plus, plenty of protein and fiber to help kick your hunger.
  •

  • Sunflower Seeds: Tiny sunflower seeds pack a mighty nutritional punch. They’re high in vitamin B1, vitamin B5, manganese, magnesium, copper, selenium, phosphorus, and folate and also provide vitamin B3. Sunflower seeds contain more vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that reduces risk of heart disease and cancer, than any other nut or seed.

  •

  • Black Sesame: These seeds are a staple to chinese and asian desserts and cuisine. Nutrient high, they carry high levels of calcium, phosphorus, iron, and magnesium. They also contain a high level of protein and dietary fiber and help maintain healthy levels of energy and promotes digestion.
