Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds: what is sprouted?
Sprouting of a seed typically initiates germination, which is the start of when the seed turns into a plant. Typically this also increases the nutrients in the sprouted seed by enhancing the quantities of these vitamins. Sprouting also helps activate the enzymes that aid with digestion, allowing for an increase in absorption of nutrients.
How are they sprouted? The nuts and seeds are first rinsed and soaked for 24 hours. The rinsing helps remove the phytic acid, which usually inhibits the body to bind to the nutrients, then slow dehydration allows for safe and healthy consumption. Especially in the form of pumpkinseed butter!
Stone-ground: Large granite stones slowly massage the nuts and seeds at low temperature. Using this method, we can release the natural oils and distribute them uniformly, producing a creamy and delicious product.
Pumpkin Seeds: High in magnesium and zing, these antioxidant rich seeds help protect against degenerative diseases, while also help reduce high blood pressure, regulate blood sugar levels, and also maintain heart and bone health.
Sunflower Seeds: Tiny sunflower seeds pack a mighty nutritional punch. They’re high in vitamin B1, vitamin B5, manganese, magnesium, copper, selenium, phosphorus, and folate and also provide vitamin B3. Sunflower seeds contain more vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that reduces risk of heart disease and cancer, than any other nut or seed.
Matcha: contains the nutrients from the entire tea leaf, which results in a greater amount of caffeine and antioxidants than your average green tea. Since Matcha contains high levels of catechins, which is a type of plant compounds that act as natural plant-based antioxidants, which help prevent cellular deterioration and help prevent chronic disease. (Note: The addition of matcha in this product is not for caffeine purposes, but rather for a more rich and creamy herby taste.)
The Chinese Herbal Formula: the power of chinese herbal medicine comes from the application of taking a formulaic approach to herbalism, formulas designed to treat the body holistically, but following ancient principals of targeting specific organ networks.
The formula in our Sunset Matcha blend focuses on helping your body Detox and Stay Zen, through the Liver Organ network.
We chose this formula especially because so many of Dr. Sun's patients suffer from stress, anxiety, and exhaustion. All of these external factors can have debilitating effects on the liver, which is seen as the main control board of the body. When your liver is not in good health, you may feel easily irritable, have difficulty sleeping, or weak
